Screw-in valves

Screw-in valves enable the filling, evacuation and pressure testing of various pressure vessels. The valves are equipped with threads, which allow them to be screwed into a component from the outside. Screw-in valves are available with or without a pre-mounted seal element, such as an O-ring or flat gasket, and with diverse screw threads.

Depending on the applications, screw-in valves can be equipped with valve cores for the corresponding pressure ranges. Different seal materials makes it possible to use them for different media.

AIGO-TEC screw-in valves offer numerous advantages. They are used in various applications where regular valves are insufficient.

• Screw-in valves are available in very small sizes, which means they can be used in very tight spaces.
• They can be mounted from the outside, making them ideal for situations where mounting from the inside is impossible.
• Screw-in valves create a seal in the threads (micro-encapsulation) where a regular seal (e.g. O-ring, flat gasket or moulded rubber seal) cannot be used.
• Screw-in valves are also suitable for use in high-pressure applications up to 500 bar, depending on the valve core.
• Use of a valve cap further increases the sealing capacity of screw-in valves.

AIGO-TEC screw-in valves are used for example in pressure accumulators, surge tanks, pneumatic systems and special wheels.

Note
Since certain material pairings can result in contact corrosion, the material of the screw-in valve must be compatible with that of the mating component into which the valve is to be screwed. Contact corrosion can be minimised by coatings, if different material pairings cannot be avoided.
